Master Bathroom Countertops
As in the first post regarding the tub countertop, prep your counters by cleaning them and taping off sinks, walls, etc. Prime the counter top. Tip: You can have the 123 Zinnser Primer tinted to a shade that is compatible with the shades of color you want to use so it will blend in better.
I don't have the resin applied here at this point. Just showing how my colors all look together. The resin is what gives it the high gloss look.
As you can see....what a huge difference a little paint can make! Love the new look! As you do this more and more you will get better and better at the painting and shades. You can't hurt anything. Just keep adding colors til it looks right to your eyes. This took about 4-5 hours to do.
The overall effect of the bathroom look is amazing!! I have wowed my family! Love it!!
The kids wanted their vanity done too!!
Before and after! So much prettier!
Update: I have to say, that the time elapsed from when I did these countertops to just now posting them has been about a month and they still look like I just did them yesterday! Still so bright and clean and shiny. The resin is holding up incredibly well. Now my formica countertops won't show stains and look prettier! Thank goodness for the internet! You can learn anything on here!
My next project: Painting a "Faux Tile Backsplash" in my kitchen! Stay tuned!!
